TBA Summer Programs: Staff & Volunteer Application



 

Welcome to the Temple Beth Ami Summer Program
volunteer and staff application process for summer 2023!

 
Staff and volunteers interested in joining the Kayitz (K-7) summer 2023 team must complete this application. Staff and volunteers who join the Kayitz Family will be working with Kim Roberts, Alyssa Katon, and Lisa Goodman.

Volunteers interested in joining the Gan Ami(2-4 years) summer 2023 team must complete this application. Volunteers who join the Gan Ami Family will be working with Dr. Paula Sayag and the Gan Ami Team.

 
Preference for Volunteers and CIT positions will be given to individuals with one or more of the following criteria:
  • Enrollment in Machane TBAHigh (Grades 8-12)
  • Temple Beth Ami Membership
  • Prior work experience in Kayitz, Gan Ami, and/or Machane TBA
  • Prior experience working with children in varying settings
  • Number of weeks available to fill a given position

Please note: Given licensing regulations and enrollment we may have limited positions this summer and the roles available may not all be directly working with children. We will not be interviewing all applicants. If we are not able to utilize you as a volunteer, we will let you know by email, thank you for your interest and we hope to work together in the future.
 
Applications are reviewed as received. Final deadline for submission is April 1, 2023
 

Position Definitions:
 
  • Volunteers (Kayitz & Gan Ami): volunteers must be 13 years of age or older and an incoming 8th grader or above. Volunteers are eligible for SSL hours.
     
  • CIT’s (Kayitz): Counselors In Training (CIT) are entering 11th or 12th graders. CITs are eligible for payment or SSL hours based on experience, staffing needs and the Kayitz Supervisor’s discretion.
     
  • Counselor (Kayitz): A counselor is responsible for the care and well-being of campers. Moderate planning and support in implementing programming. Strong communication skills with children, staff, and families. Responsible alongside leads.
     
  • Lead (Kayitz): A lead is responsible for the primary care and well-being of campers. They are responsible for planning bunk programming, parent communication and oversight of volunteers, CITs, and counselors in their bunk.
     
  • Photography Intern (Kayitz): Photography Interns are eligible for SSL hours. They are responsible for taking photos during the day at camp. It is important they capture the fun, warmth, and love that takes place on a day-to-day basis. Photography interns are also responsible for uploading photos to a computer and sorting through them each day and for making the weekly end of camp slideshow.
