TBA's Federal Worker Resource Workshop

Sunday, June 1, 2025 5 Sivan 5785

1:00 PM - 3:00 PMTemple Beth Ami

Join us for an informative and supportive workshop designed to provide resources and guidance for federal employees and those impacted by the changes in the federal government. This program will help with navigating employment uncertainty, transitions, or retirement planning.

Rabbi Gary Pokras will open the event with meaningful reflections on the emotional toll of these uncertain times - addressing grief, anger, and fear. He’ll remind us that while we may not be able to control what’s happening around us, we can control how we respond. We are not powerless, and today is about learning how to exercise that power.

The program will be moderated by Julie Sapper and will feature a panel of experts offering insights and support in the following key areas:

Neil Hyman, Esq., Employment Attorney
A specialist in federal employment law, Neil brings both professional expertise and a personal connection.

Arthur Stein, Financial Advisor & Retirement Expert
Art offers deep knowledge in federal retirement planning and the financial impacts affecting government employees.

Alex Hammer, Mental Health Support
JSSA’s Director of Clinical Operations, Alex will provide tools and resources for managing stress, anxiety, and overall mental well-being during times of uncertainty and transition.

Vocational Services Specialist – Career Transition Guidance
This expert will represent services available through JCA, JSSA, and the Jewish Federation, focusing on job transitions, and workforce development.

This is a free event open to the community. We invite you to listen, ask questions, and connect with resources that can make a real difference.
